Micron is hiring a SSD Technical Customer Manager to manage the qualification and support of Micron SSD’s at Enterprise and Hyperscale datacenter customers!
In this role you will excel in being the primary interface between the customer and engineering/design centers, developing a long term relationship with the customer to support streamlined communication and qualification efforts that facilitates products being qualified in target customer applications with maximum efficiency. Acting as a subject matter expert on the customer for product qualification requirements, resulting in a reduced time to market. You will proactively define qualification requirements and processes to shape a qualification plan that ensures success, provide an interface for the customer to engineering groups and design centers, and communicate customer qualification requirements and status to management, sales and development teams!
Roles and Responsibilities:
Program manage the qualification of new product introductions (NPI) at targeted customers and their OEM/ODM partners
Gathering of customer qualification and test requirements and alignment of requirements with Micron design teams
Definition and execution of customer qualification plans and schedules
Managing customer partner concerns by driving priorities on issue resolution-closure-corrective action
Contribute technical and business input in support of cases
Managing regular customer communication and associated action logs
Ensuring sample requirements are identified and driven for your customer
Provide regular qualification status updates to Micron management
Configuration management and approvals for sample and production units
Drive customer change management process
Work with Micron development and validation teams on the customer qualification process as well as the critical customer requirements
Successful candidates for this position will have:
Demonstrated project management skills, executive presentation abilities and customer relationship management experience are key requirements
Minimum 8 years of storage or related high-tech experience including interaction with sales, customers, engineers and product development teams
Minimum 3 years of Cloud/Hyperscale or Cloud/Hyperscale ecosystem customer experience, preferably having previously or currently working at a Cloud/Hyperscale company or supporting enterprise OEM/ODM
Requires knowledge of OEM product qualification processes and a broad-based understanding of the storage industry
A strong, driven personality who can work as an advocate for the customer within the design team.
Demonstrated discernment to understand and communicate customer impacts and tradeoffs.
Ability / flexibility to work evenings, holidays and weekends as the need arises
Able to relay technical information to and from the customer verbally and in writing at a professional level
Education:
BS (or equivalent) degree in a technical field
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$144,000.00 - $273,000.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
