Job Description​

Provides customer service to patients, families, physicians, physician offices, the community, and internal departments throughout SLHS for assigned location. This includes but is not limited to:

• Answering phone

• Scheduling

• Routing calls to correct departments (Centralized scheduling, nursing staff, etc.)

• View and return or route voice messages as needed

• Problem solving concerns and issues to insure appropriate for Same Day clinic

• Reminder of financial responsibility - copay or pre-payment

• Providing patient instructions and education regarding preparations for visit

• Able to answer scheduling calls with minimal support.

• Demonstrates quality customer service.

• Participates in timely efficient workflow.

This position is responsible for answering incoming calls and scheduling patients appropriately with providers.

• Provides exceptional customer service to patients, families, physicians, physician offices and the community

• Scheduling Established patients only in EMR, updating/verifying: including demographics, patient contacts and insurance information

• Verifies patient's insurance for eligibility and benefits utilizing Epic Real Time Eligibility and insures filing order is correct

• Other duties as assigned as position evolves
