As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Engineer (m/f/d) Treatment Aquatics – Madrid to support strategic initiatives and strengthen our project execution capabilities. 

The Role 

As Senior Sales Engineer – Treatment Aquatics, you will be responsible for developing the market for Xylem’s aquatics treatment solutions, focusing on public swimming pools, municipalities, and engineering partners. You will actively acquire new customers, build strategic relationships, and expand Xylem’s presence in the Iberian market.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Drive business development and sales growth for aquatics water treatment solutions in Spain and Portugal
  • Identify and acquire new customers in the public swimming pool sector
  • Develop relationships with municipalities, consulting engineers, and pool operators
  • Promote Xylem solutions including disinfection systems, pumps, monitoring and control technologies
  • Monitor market developments and competitor activities
  • Represent Xylem at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings in Spain
  • back-office support
  • Lead negotiations and close sales contracts
  • Maintain and manage opportunities in the CRM system
  • Provide monthly forecasts and pipeline updates

Qualifications:  

  • Degree in Engineering, Environmental Technology, Water Technology, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience in technical sales, application engineering, or business development
  • Strong understanding of water treatment technologies, pumps, or aquatics systems
  • Experience working with municipal customers or public infrastructure projects
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to develop new markets and customers
  • Experience using CRM systems for sales management
  • Fluent Spanish and English (Portuguese is a plus)
  • Willingness to travel 50% or more within Spain and Portugal
