POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to oversee Arch Insurance North America’s maintenance, enhancement and process improvements related to Financial Systems, most notably Workday, our newly implemented global ERP system. This role will oversee the Workday close process, bridging finance, operations, IT and data teams. This person will track and help prioritize enhancements to ensure Workday and the related integrations to the system, evolve to meet business needs and operational efficiency. This role will represent Finance in the Arch Insurance North America Data Steward efforts.

This is a hybrid role with a two day on site expectation each week based out of the Hartford, CT or Jersey City, NJ office.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage the Workday financial close, ensuring proper signoffs, successful file integrations and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all matters related to the Workday system
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial reporting processes within the Workday system, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement improvements, including completing necessary enhancement documentation
  • Lead the planning, prioritization, and execution of system enhancements to the ledger platform and file integrations as requested by the North America Insurance Segment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Review data for quality assurance to avoid failed records downstream; coordinate with IT and Data Operations teams to facilitate resolution
  • Represent Finance in Arch Insurance North America’s Data Steward efforts, including participation in the Data Governance working group and the testing/implementation of new Data Quality tools

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Familiarity with tools such as Workday, Snowflake, Cortex, Smartsheet
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Proven experience with process improvement, project management and leading cross-functional teams

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting, working closely with financial systems (ERP or ledger planform management)
  • Proven experience with system implementation and/or enhancement project management

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$118,700 - $160,270/year

  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
