Job Description

In your role as GLOBAL TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE ENGINEER you will report to the Experience Hub Manager EMEA. You will be based onsite in Katowice, Poland.

You will take on a leading role about the Hardware as a Service program, including demo asset lifecycle management. You will support event activities across the region.

Your responsibilities:

As part of Global Portfolio Engineering (GPE), you will collaborate with EMEA Product Managers and EMEA Commercial Engineering to develop customer-facing experiences.

  • You will be responsible for Rockwell Automation's Hardware as a Service program within EMEA. This includes aligning with regional stakeholders, planning and preparing shipments, managing the maintenance process from start to finish, updating technical assets, handling repairs, designing and ordering spare parts and new equipment. Your daily work will also involve managing relationships with third-party vendors and leading our asset tracking tool within EMEA. Ensure drawings are updated.
  • Event support within the EMEA region before, during and after events. Support the Events Engineering Team in preparing for these events.

Hardware as a Service

  • This role will also require you to use new asset management tools and manage the check-in and check-out of asset inventory, including documenting updates.
  • Asset readiness for trade shows and training events. You will be part of a team responsible for validating all assets before use and updating or repairing them.

Event support

  • Pre-event support, including kick-off, regular stakeholder calls, updates, asset coordination, collaboration with domain experts, and packaging and preparing assets for shipping.
  • Event on-site support: setup and teardown, startup support.
  • Post-event support: unloading, asset receiving/check-in and asset maintenance.

Training as a Services

  • On demand, you will support our Training as a Service hardware team on urgent commisioning and maintenance acitivities.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Detailed knowledge of RA's hardware offerings (controllers, I/O, drives, motion, safety, etc.) is advantageous.
  • 2+ years' experience working with and wiring electrical systems. You will require the ability to read and mark up wiring diagrams.
  • You will require to communicate goals, priorities and timelines effectively to stakeholders.
  • In your role as Global Technical Experience Engineer you will have to adjust to constantly changing event tasks and manage challenges.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Knowledge of Rockwell's existing demos and training materials.
  • 2+ years' experience using and programming RA hardware products (e.g. controllers).
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT technologies (e.g. switches, routers, VLANs and VPNs).
  • Develop and bring to life medium- and long-term strategies for success.
