The opportunity

Hitachi Energy, Composites, is looking to strengthen the Procurement & Logistic team with a Factory Supply Chain Specialist. As a Factory Supply Chain Specialist you will have a key role ensuring implementation and adherence to SCM strategies, processes and follow up in the factories to ensure material availability, delivery performance and cost

competitiveness. Support management of assigned spend with a short-term and medium-term sourcing strategy to meet targets on total cost of ownership, quality, and reliability of supplies.

Our production unit is located in Piteå in northern Sweden. The main product is composite hollow insulators. Typical applications are transformer bushings, wall bushings, breaker bushings, surge arresters, cable terminations, station post insulators, etc. Other products are machined glass fiber /epoxy cylinders used for instance for tap changers.

How you’ll make an impact

• Support the Factory SCM on assigned tasks Prioritize and help our suppliers feeding us the most critical items
• Support in liaison to Planning & Fulfillment team in the ERP data management under SCM responsibility: i.e. supplier contact details, allocation plan, prices, lead time, MOQ, Incoterms, payment terms
• Support for material price and Terms & Conditions control throughout the value chain (from tender, ERP master data and oversees invoices control rules (tolerances, etc.) Support tender material costing and run tender specific negotiations where applicable
• Support on analysis and reporting tasks
• Lead and/or support company and contractors’ qualifications processes on assigned suppliers
• Support Supplier Performance Evaluations (SPE) on assigned tasks
• Work on improving assigned supplier performance measurement and improvement tasks
• Support on assigned claim management to maximize compensation to Hitachi Energy and escalate as necessary
• Support Factory SCM in material cost cutting and risk mitigation projects
• Support on SCM related local activities for R&D, DTV, New Product Introduction, product cost improvement project.

Your background

• You have an academical background within logistics or business administration or similar work experience.
• You have good knowledge in using excel and ERP system, preferable SAP
• You are fluent in English and Swedish
• You are analytical and structured
