Job Requirements

Mechanical & Millwright Maintenance

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures on kiln ovens, batch ovens, conveyor systems, vacuum tanks, pumps, compressors, mixers, and material handling equipment.
  • Install, dismantle, move, align, and reassemble production machinery and equipment.
  • Perform shaft alignments, bearing replacements, gearbox repairs, chain and sprocket maintenance, belt tracking, and conveyor repairs.
  • Inspect equipment for wear, vibration, misalignment, and operational deficiencies.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, plant expansions, and continuous improvement projects.

Welding & Fabrication

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding to repair and modify production equipment.
  • Fabricate brackets, supports, guards, platforms, and custom machine components.
  • Repair structural steel, equipment frames, and production fixtures.
  • Operate cutting torches, plasma cutters, grinders, and fabrication equipment safely.

Pneumatic, Hydraulic & Vacuum Systems

  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic control systems, air cylinders, valves, and compressed air systems.
  • Maintain hydraulic equipment including pumps, hoses, cylinders, and power units.
  • Service vacuum systems, vacuum pumps, tanks, and associated process equipment.
  • Identify leaks, pressure issues, and system performance problems.

Facility & Carpentry Maintenance

  • Perform general facility maintenance and repairs.
  • Repair walls, doors, flooring, roofing components, and structural building elements.
  • Construct and modify workstations, storage areas, equipment enclosures, and production support structures.
  • Support facility improvement and renovation projects.

Basic Electrical Troubleshooting

  • Troubleshoot basic electrical issues related to motors, switches, sensors, and production equipment.
  • Assist with equipment lockout/tagout procedures and maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with electricians or maintenance leadership on advanced electrical repairs when required.

Safety & Documentation

  • Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and OSHA regulations.
  • Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and preventive maintenance documentation.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of industrial maintenance or millwright experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Experience with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, chains, sprockets, and rotating equipment.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and blueprints.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, precision measuring devices, and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industrial Millwright certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in fiberglass, composites, ceramics, building products, or heavy manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with kiln ovens, curing ovens, vacuum forming equipment, or automated production lines.
  • Rigging and machinery moving experience.
  • Forklift, aerial lift, or crane operation experience.
  • Basic PLC and motor control troubleshooting knowledge.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
