Job Summary

The HR Shared Services Specialist will assist with carrying out various human resources programs and procedures companywide specifically focusing on overall employee experience. Will partner with HR Directors to provide support with talent management efforts, data analysis and ongoing HRIS automation needs.

Job Description

Summary/Objective

Drive the transformation of the employee and manager experience through improved customer service, automation, and self-service opportunities offered by Flagship. Assists department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees. Optimize HR processes and ensures all HR related paperwork is completed. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain in compliance. Oversee HR Systems to ensure compliance and best system support. Work on, or run, acquisition due diligence and integration. Coordinate Leave of Absence administration process with benefits team. Partner with benefit team answering employee inquiries regarding the total reward package. Conduct monthly new hire audits and works closely with hiring managers on offboarding process. Champions the culture and develops action plans to ensure a positive, engaging, and supportive workplace; promotes diversity and inclusion as part of the culture. Oversee high quality performance management processes, documenting goals, addressing performance issues, and developing and challenging team members to exceed expectations. Other duties as assigned and requested.

Knowledge and Skills

Strong customer service focus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Thorough understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures. Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in human resources, business, psychology, or related experience. Three to five years of relevant experience. HR experience preferred, including in-depth knowledge of all employment and labor laws. Able to effectively utilize all Microsoft Office applications and various HR software programs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, climbing and occasionally lifting of a minimum of 40 lbs. of office or facilities equipment. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
