Job Description Summary

This is a fixed term role to execute the strategic transformation of the Wind Projects & Services Global Tooling programs and organization. While executing the strategic transformation this leader will oversees the operational execution of tooling delivery and need for the Services operations and continuously improve processes and means to meet customer expectations. They will partner with the regional leadership team and site teams to develop a customer focused environment that maximizes on-time delivery while minimizing costs.

The Wind Services Tooling leader is responsible for the team’s safety, long term relationships with customers, driving tooling optimized operations, fiscal management, & leadership of all day to day tool center activities. Overall scope includes, but not limited to leading a team, managing daily site operations, managing tool center budget, inventory management, and technology, with primary focus of safety and quality at the forethought of all tool center activities.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage Team leaders and their hourly and contract reports of daily operations in the tooling centers.
  • Execute the Transformation as defined by the Business by working cross-functionally to set and execute the plan
  • Provide detailed analysis and reporting on tooling KPI’s including inventory, utilization, calibration status, cost, schedule and on time delivery.
  • Ensure that the tool center maintains environmental, health and safety (EHS) standards.
  • Manage tool cost allocation to include rental rate, replacement, and repair rates.
  • Oversee budget and capital asset management, relaying information during quarterly reviews.
  • Manage suppliers including request for quotes (RFQs), supplier establishment, and selection.
  • Support engineering teams on new tool selections and implementations for Technician use.
  • Communicate cross functionally to support field service teams, HQ, engineering, new product development, and international counterparts.
  • Define and implement a technology strategy to drive efficiency and effectiveness of the team and assets.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, sourcing or engineering managerial role
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Ability and willingness to travel 20% globally

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $140,300.00 and $233,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
