Position Summary:

Kemper Life is seeking a high energy, self-starter who is action oriented and can drive results.  This Individual will report to the District Manager and work with a team of agents within their assigned territories.  Some job functions of a Sales Manager are to recruit, train, supervise, and coordinate a team of licensed insurance agents responsible for bringing in new quality sales, conserving existing business, and providing excellent service to policyholders.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Continuously identify and recruit qualified talent for the agent position
  • Train agents on Kemper Life’s products and sales tools
  • Regularly work with agents in their territory to supervise and monitor sales and collection activity
  • Conduct business inspections with customers in person and by phone to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with policies and procedures
  • Provide in-person service to customers with and without an assigned agent
  • Regularly report to the District Manager on both personal and agent performance.
  • Effectively resolve conflicts with customers and employees to ensure disputes are addressed timely and professionally
  • Additional duties as assigned

Position Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 2+ years of sales management or equivalent experience
  • Ability to visit customers and prospects door-to-door
  • Dependable vehicle as daily travel is required
  • Fully licensed to sell Kemper Life products in required states
  • Valid driver’s license and 100k/300k auto insurance coverage
  • Ability to pass background check, motor vehicle report check, and drug screening
  • Authorized to work in the United States
