Job Description

What is the Opportunity?

The Technology Infrastructure team is undertaking multiple enterprise-wide initiatives in support of RBC's ambitious objectives to strengthen operational excellence, technology management, and cyber/risk capabilities. In this role you will be responsible for strategically monitoring and executing the technology lifecycle management of hardware & software across RBC's global footprint. Coordinating and planning across multiple technology horizontals, and collaborating with technology and business stakeholders, you will effectively help drive compliance in support of risk and regulatory objectives.

What will you do?

  • Monitor controls and issues across Technology End of Life and seek opportunities for optimization and improvements.
  • Participate in control testing and validation activities, document findings, and support resolution of identified issues.
  • Report on the progress of remediation actions and process improvement initiatives to stakeholders.
  • Work in partnership with the IT Asset Management function to ensure effective monitoring of technology lifecycle management
  • Assist in designing and implementing new controls and processes to meet enterprise and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze key performance indicators, metrics and reports to identify and investigate data anomalies and control exceptions.
  • Create clear and concise written communications and presentation materials for governance committees, working groups, and senior management.
  • Prepare supporting documentation including process flow diagrams, system lineage documentation, and control testing evidence.

What do you need to succeed?

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience with exposure to Compliance & Risk.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar platforms).
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to work with large datasets, identify trends, and troubleshoot data quality issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to create clear documentation and executive-ready presentations.
  • Autonomous and highly motivated; able to multi-task, manage priorities independently, and collaborate across teams.
  • Attention to detail, and able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Comfort translating complex regulatory and technical concepts into clear, actionable messages for diverse audiences.
  • Good understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance frameworks.
