Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Credit Officer with strong financial insight, who enjoys taking responsibility and combines deep credit expertise with coordination, stakeholder management and project‑based work.
As Senior Credit Officer, you take the lead over the portfolios managed by the other Credit Officers and are personally responsible for the strategically important portfolios of service stations and transport companies. You control financial risk, support commercial growth within clear credit frameworks and ensure an efficient end‑to‑end credit process.
Your responsibilities
Credit analysis & risk management
Independently manage the portfolio of service stations and transport customers.
Set and review credit limits for customers and prospects based on financial analysis (solvency, liquidity, profitability), with decision authority up to €125,000.
Hold final responsibility for the credit portfolios managed by the two other Credit Officers in BELUX.
Monitor bank guarantees and other securities.
Monitor orders and consumption; block orders and cards when necessary.
Credit & accounts receivable management
Manage and follow up customer accounts.
Actively follow up outstanding invoices and payments.
Contact customers regarding overdue balances and work towards sustainable solutions.
Monitor DSO, overdue positions and risks, and escalate when needed.
Support and coach other Credit Officers in complex cases.
Coordination & collaboration
Provide functional coordination and follow‑up of the shared service center (portfolios < €25,000).
Ensure clear agreements, quality follow‑up and continuous optimisation of the collaboration with the SSC.
Work closely with Sales, Finance, Legal and other internal stakeholders.
Participate in and lead credit meetings with commercial teams and other involved parties.
Projects & process optimisation
Take ownership and actively contribute to Credit & Finance projects, including the migration from SAP to JDE.
Identify and implement improvements in credit processes, reporting and risk management.
Act as the point of contact within Credit for system‑ and process‑related questions.

Your profile
You hold a master’s degree in a financial discipline (e.g. Business Engineering, Economics, Business Management).
You have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in credit management, credit control or risk management.
You have experience managing complex and/or strategic customer portfolios.
Experience with SAP and/or JDE is a strong asset.
You work in an analytical, structured and accurate way and easily take ownership.
You are decisive, assertive and able to balance commercial interests with financial discipline.
You are proactive, solution‑oriented and resilient under pressure.
You communicate fluently and professionally in Dutch, French and English.
