As a Senior Manager focused on the Avast and freemium brands portfolio strategy, you will own the overall strategy and proposition of the Avast One suite, Security and Utilities product portfolio. Passionate about the customer, you will harness consumer insight and market intelligence to identify and prioritize the right areas to delight our users and deliver against commercial objectives. Helping to bridge product and sales / marketing teams, you will build clear and powerful product propositions, own the overall product story and in concert with Integrated Marketing, drive Go-To-Market (GTM) for significant product launches.
Fact-based, you will naturally drive projects in a strategic manner, with a clear vision that aligns with our business goals. You will pair this with a creative, growth-oriented mindset, as you help teams understand our products and inspire marketing that captures new opportunities. The successful candidate will be instinctively a team player, will understand the importance of communication, and possess outstanding communication skills of your own.
What you will do in this role
● Own the product strategy and positioning for a key part of the Avast portfolio and work with Product Managers to deliver the vision on time and in line with the business case.
● Document and understand the competitive landscape, including feature sets, user experience, and pricing. Maintain and communicate competitive intelligence and market trends relevant to the brand and category.
● Partner with Consumer Insights to understand customer needs, buyer personas and future trends, developing actionable insights and a shared understanding of customer needs.
● Link product strategy to optimized business outcomes, recommending future product portfolio direction, including feature and proposition development that fits with our Avast brand value proposition.
● Own the product value proposition, KSPs and product/feature naming for your product lines. Balance user experience and marketing opportunities, ensuring consistency and brand-fit across the portfolio and connection within products and features. Partners with Integrated Marketing and Design to maximise impact from naming choices.
● Maintain the “Feature Availability Matrix”: Creates and maintains a document that details the product features, description and availability by market.
● Communicate and brief sales & marketing teams on the future product roadmap.
● Drive product launch initiation and partner with integrated marketing to deliver effective on-time GTM activities.
What you’ll need to be successful in this role:
10+ years’ experience in Product Strategy or Product Marketing within a global, technology-driven organization, ideally in consumer SaaS or software.
Demonstrated ability to link product strategy to business outcomes (growth, revenue, market share) and to shape the product portfolio accordingly.
Natural ability to translate technological innovation into communicable benefits that deliver value to our customers.
Strategic thinker who loves to think both analytically and creatively, but who can also roll up their sleeves and get things done
Passionate communicator with outstanding interpersonal, presentation and writing skills, able to persuade, influence and evangelize the product internally and externally, and communicate clearly up and down the organization.
Demonstrated willingness to continually learn, adapt to and deploy new AI technologies and tools to improve our effectiveness.
An outstanding attention to detail.
