About the Role:

The production operator will be responsible for set up, changeover, washout, asset care and general operation of injection moulding, mixing or filling and packaging equipment to consume the production plan whilst ensuring adherence to safety and quality requirements, always. To perform any other reasonable tasks or responsibilities that relate to the production operator role. Performance will be monitored and measured in the areas of safety participation, quality control process adherence, Line performance (OEE1) and engagement in key events.

Responsibilities:

  •  Ensure that all manufacturing activities are carried out with a non-negotiable approach to quality and safety.

  • Proactively ensure that any problems or concerns regarding safety, quality or your ability to complete asset care are immediately communicated to your Cell Leader or Supervisor. Utilize the good spot system to identify areas of concern and opportunities for improvement.

  • Coach agency operators to ensure that requirements of safety and quality are clearly understood and that procedures are followed.

  • Work within your peer group to encourage constructive challenge of any concern relating to compliance with safety or quality standards.

  • Operate stop-work authority where any concerns are recognized in relation to the safety of people or the quality of manufactured goods.

  • Ensure full compliance with the factory PPE requirements and GMP policies.

  • Follow standard operating procedures when conducting asset start up, quality control processes, changeover, asset care and operation. Escalate any procedures that do not reflect current working practice to your Cell Leader or Supervisor.

  • Ensure that your working area is maintained within the requirements of the asset care plan and that the manufacturing area is handed over to the next shift in a clean and tidy manner.

  • Engage positively in continuous improvement and planned training activities to support the drive towards improving operating effectiveness.

  • Actively engage in scheduled communication events, i.e. daily shift meetings, shift hand over meetings, 1-2-1 meetings and Townhalls with team members.

  • To perform any other reasonable tasks or responsibilities that relate to the production operator role.

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Experience of operating manufacturing equipment to quality specifications and standard operating procedures.

  • Experience of compliance with safety requirements in a manufacturing environment.
