Junior R&D Engineer – Osa Demolition Equipment

About the role

As Junior R&D Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products and technologies that support the company’s strategic objectives. You will use your technical and product expertise to transform projects into functional prototypes and production-ready solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle. Your contribution will help ensure that new concepts are technically viable, cost-effective, safely manufacturable and aligned with market and business needs.

What you will do

Your main responsibilities include:

• Designing new products or components using engineering principles and industry standards;
• Developing technical documentation, including specifications, engineering drawings and test reports;  
• Performing simulations, analyses and validations to ensure performance, safety and reliability;
• Collaborating with Manufacturing and Sourcing throughout all project phases;  
• Acting as a bridge with Production to ensure that products meet the required specifications;
• Leading or supporting technical problem-solving activities and proposing corrective or innovative solutions;  
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce costs and enhance product performance;  
• Ensuring compliance with internal standards, certifications and regulatory requirements.

Who you are

We are looking for a curious, analytical and hands-on engineer with a strong interest in product development and manufacturing. You enjoy solving technical challenges, working with different stakeholders and contributing to innovative solutions that can be successfully transferred into production.  We believe you have:

• University Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• At least a post-graduate internship experiecne in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering company;
• Knowledge of engineering design tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks and 3D modelling at least at academic level;
• A good understanding of product engineering and manufacturing processes;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage technical complexity;
• Good communication skills in order to support production operators by providing technical explanations and information related to technical drawings;
• A good level of English, both verbally and in writing is a must.

This position is based at Molfetta (Bari).
