Job Description

Position Summary:

You will be responsible to manage and develop a team of Commercial Engineers, being responsible and accountable for all proposals of our Engineering to Order portfolio (Motor Control Centers and Medium Voltage Drives) related to the Power Control Business, which is a critical element of our Intelligent Devices segment in Latin America.

You will also manage all required resources to build the proposal content, guiding the efficiency, consistency, quality, and accuracy of our proposals while following appropriate processes, to drive increased opportunity win rates.

In this position you will report to the Director, Intelligent Devices, Latin America and you will be based in LATAM (Brazil, Colombia, Mexico or Chile).

Your Responsibilities:

  • Regional responsible for all ETO quotation activities related to ITD.
  • Lead the Regional Proposal team in both a commercial and technical environment, driving the transformation of the existing team to generate more efficiency, increase resiliency and better support the sales organization.
  • Build relationships with our important partners and integrators to be successful with integration of complete solutions.
  • Responsible for the overall proposal development process to meet customer’s requirements, development of the technical offer, internal costing, and inputs to ensure T&Cs are properly reviewed.
  • Partnering with the Sales Team to review and define the Go / No-Go for new opportunities.
  • Work with sales and channels (distributors and partners) to strategize on key opportunities as well provide input to increasing successes through the Win Strategy process.
  • Report Latin America forecast for the global business units.
  • Define and structure a risk mitigation strategy for key projects and present the deal risk profile to get the necessary internal approvals.
  • Lead internal approval requests processes.
  • Partnering with C&N (Contracts & Negotiation) team on negotiations of terms and conditions of key contracts.

The Essentials – You will Have:

  • BSC Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
  • Availability to travel 25% of the time.
  • Solid knowledge of the proposal process.
  • Experience understanding customer buying behaviors & processes.
  • Have knowledge on how ITD (Intelligent Devices) are organized and delivered.
  • 5+ years of proposal experience for industry applications of automation.
  • Experience in propose large projects that involves EPC (engineering, procurement and construction).
  • Communication skills (written and verbal) at multiple levels of customer organization.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and multicultural teams.
