Job Description:
Overall purpose of job:
The purpose of the BUM is to maximize the value of their respective business area with both long-and short-term direction. The Business Unit Manager is end-to-end responsible for the commercial performance of their therapeutic area and ensures the alignment of the therapeutic area commercial strategy with the IBVT. The BUM then drives and ensures the implementation of the therapeutic area strategy by leveraging and leading the cross-functional therapeutic area team towards maximum business impact.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of the local brand plan in alignment with the IBVT strategy, including long-term strategy and tactical implementation, as well as regional and key account planning. Ensure that local customer needs and insights are reflected in the brand strategies and in the go-to-market strategy for Greece.
• Lead, manage and develop Sales Managers and Brand Managers in the therapeutic area to their full potential and ensure optimal utilization. Drive short- and long-term business results for the therapeutic area through execution of the brand plan, cross-functional collaboration and customer interaction excellence. Ensure sharing of best practices and capture synergies between different therapeutic areas in Greece.
• Track and report business performance, identify deviations and recommend operational and strategic options to improve commercial performance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as customers, patient groups and policy makers, to continuously monitor the external environment and identify opportunities and threats, responding with appropriate actions.
• Participate, where applicable, in IBVT co-create to support the development of EMEA brand strategy

Requirements (knowledge, education, skills):
· Academic degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration or similar fields required
· Minimum 5-8 years of work experience in Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry ; experience in Oncology is a plus
· Strong commercial background with proven success across Sales and Marketing roles, in complex and competitive environments
· People Leadership experience with a strong track record in talent development, coaching and performance management.
· Experience with budget responsibility
· Strong skills in Microsoft Office required
· High proficiency in spoken and written English & Greek required
· Team player with good interpersonal skills, ability to influence and interact effectively with internal and external customers
· Ability to combine strategic foresight and operational excellence
· Ability to recognize internal and external market complexity and act with courage promoting
Compliance to drive sustainable business results
· Ability to evaluate trade-offs between potential costs and benefits and acts accordingly
