What You Will Do: 

  • Understanding and experience working with Metadata Models with schema developed in semantic RDF technology. DATMM is designed to store and organize metadata from select and curated biomedical repositories and make them discoverable to NLM patrons. 

  • Develop and use transformational metadata crosswalks and pipelines to facilitate the ingestion of descriptive metadata from repositories to DATMM. 

  • Conduct QA of metadata and interface 

  • Develop of Programmatic Access point for ingesting and exporting collection metadata  

  • Design and implement extensions into existing discovery systems to allow new and enhance existing interoperability. 

  • Develop additional enhancements for GUI search that retrieves data from the RDF triplestore and the ability for a user to enter their own SPARQL queries. 

  • Implement development and QA systems.  

  • Lead preparation of all documents associated with the ATO compliance. 

 

What You Will Need: 

  • Master’s Degree.  (Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education or advanced degree)

  • A minimum of FOUR (4 years of experience in Computer Programming, Information Technology, Data Processing, Management Information Systems and Statistics, and/or Computer Science. 

  • Expert knowledge of semantic web technology and SPARQL. 

  • Experience with AWS. 

  • Demonstrate experience leading technology implementations/transformations. 

  • Strong analysis and communications skills, both verbal and written, to communicate information to stakeholders across all levels of experience. 

  • Expert knowledge of Agile development methodology and use of Jira 

 

What Would Be Nice To Have: 

  • Demonstrated experience serving biomedical and/or scientific community. 

  • Extensive program management skills including the ability to liaise with technical and business teams and clearly articulate technology concepts to business audiences. 

The annual salary range for this position is $100,200.00-$150,200.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
