How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Segment Support Specialist serves as a centralized point of contact and works closely and collaborates with the entire SA Business Management team, National Account Managers (NAMs), Strategic and Regional Account Managers (SAMs/RAMs), as well as other departments and support teams. The Specialist provides strategic account support on a variety of customer inquiries related to; reporting, account set up, accounts receivable issues, tagging and tying within the company's procurement system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following.  Other duties as assigned.

  • Assign and/or assist with reviewing and resolving customer inquiries related to; 

    • Accounts Receivable issues

    • Account Set up

    • Tagging and Tying (Ship to and Sold To accounts), Customer Hierarchy

    • Part Number (additions/changes/expiration), research and communication to include issue resolution

    • Identify Airgas Part Numbers & Provide Quotes <50 lines

    • Create and maintain customer material info records (CMIRs)

    • Review cylinder balance issues 
       

  • Access multiple databases to provide details on sales activities, cylinder balances, fill rates and other specific activities related to market and/or commodity

  • Create and ensure accuracy for documentation related to the SA Customer (Rollout) process to include-Executive Contract Review (ECR), ECR LITE, Lost Rent Revenue (LRR) and Credit Review Requests (CRR) 

  • Prepare supplemental reports, and complete ad hoc requests based on market segment customer base

  • Market segment specific processes include but are not limited to:

    • Generate business reviews specific to customer

    • Impact reports based on new pricing strategies

    • Account plans, Bulk Logs, Slice Reports

    • IIR & PEC reports

    • Logistics, account audits,  and name searches

    • GPO activities such as processing agreements, maintaining tagging based on membership changes, etc. 

    • Federal activities such as preparing Government rollout packages, pricing files, templates, in addition to;

      • Coordination of Delivery Order (DO) process and creation of DD250 paperwork

      • Support Customer inquiries on the collection of Conflict Minerals information

      • Serve as the Airgas Cage Code Administrator for federal government’s System for Award Management (SAM)
         

  • Identify, monitor and communicate potential process improvement areas 

  • Submit dashboard requests related to customer account changes to Master Data team 

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to include ebusiness, sales service, billing and special handling teams, merchant gases (AMG) and data teams

  • Provide administrative support as necessary, including reporting, customer research and other administrative related duties to increase Salesforce selling time

  • Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company

COMPETENCIES:

  • Packaged Gas, Hardgoods knowledge, to include process and delivery mode highly desirable

  • Experience in reporting systems such as; SAP|PROS |Business Warehouse |Power BI

  • Ability to function as both a strong team player and as an independent contributor

  • Self-motivated individual with strong background in solution resolution process and customer service

  • Demonstrated experience serving on cross-functional teams; working effectively with those teams to achieve desired results

  • Research skills including gathering and analyzing information from multiple sources (subject matter experts) to develop documentation.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with internal/external customers at all levels of the organization. 

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and comprehend customer contract language (federal government)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required

  • Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 

  • G Suite experience highly desirable (Google Applications) to include; Sheets, Docs, Forms, Slides
