The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Manager of Facilities Management (Shadow Lane) [R0145634]
ROLE of the POSITION
This position supports the UNLV Top Tier 2.0 Mission by operating under the supervision of the Executive Director for Facilities Management and by working in collaboration with UNLV Facilities Management staff to lead the daily operations and strategic management of all facilities management services for the Shadow Lane Campus and the nearby assigned facilities within the Las Vegas Medical District (LVMD). The incumbent is responsible for leading and collaborating with UNLV teams and service / supplier partners in the management and maintenance of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEPFP) equipment, systems, and related infrastructure at assigned locations.
The Manager of Facilities Management is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and strategic management of the Shadow Lane Campus and assigned LVMD facilities. This role includes supervising staff, managing assigned budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance with local, state, national, healthcare, and trade-specific regulations and standards, and maintaining the highest standards of facilities management operations, service delivery, and customer experience for academic, administrative, clinical, and research programs. Due to the sensitive nature of cynical program needs, this position must always work to minimize downtime and maximize uptime for managed spaces and non-clinical equipment required by clinical programs.
This position has oversight and accountability for leading approximately 12 Classified Staff positions, consisting of supervisory staff, generalists and specialized / licensed trades staff positions.
The Shadow Lane Campus, located in the heart of the Las Vegas Medical District, is a 21.6-acre campus that houses four commercial buildings, totaling nearly 330,205 square feet, which support the programs of the School of Dental Medicine, the Clinical Simulation Center of Las Vegas (CSCLV) for the UNLV School of Nursing, UNLV Health Primary Care, and biomedical research . All aspects of building and grounds maintenance are handled by a combination of on-site staff, support from the Maryland campus Facilities Management, and contracted services. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) (Master’s degree preferred) and 5 years of experience in facilities management or related fields, 3 of which must be in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Facilities management leadership experience at one or more academic institutions of dental, acute, or ambulatory medicine.
A minimum of five years of experience in facilities management supervisory and/or management experience in acute or ambulatory care health centers, healthcare or biotechnology or health tech research institutions, and / or academic health center settings.

Salary range is $106,491 to $120,703 or commensurate with the labor market.
