Job Summary

Sets up and performs complex testing on electrical and electronic assemblies. Must be able to troubleshoot assemblies at a component level. Uses oscilloscopes, signal generators, digital multimeters, and power supplies. Works with blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, etc. Designs and builds test fixtures to facilitate testing of assemblies. A general knowledge of motor and generator operation is preferred. Travel time to customer sites of up to twenty (20) percent of yearly hours is possible. Works with minimum supervision. Ten thousand (10,000) hours experience is required to become familiar with and understand procedures to acquire knowledge of Electronic and Electrical assemblies, manufacturing methods, inspection techniques and performance testing using established safety procedures. Performs other duties as designated by supervisor, in the same salary grade or below.
Education and Experience Requirements.
An Electronics Manufacturing Technician degree and/or certification is required. Tester A or previously held Tester A classifications may be considered.
Must be a sole US citizen.
