The role is for a Solution Engineer at Cisco who owns the Cisco brand with customers and partners. This person provides technical solutions addressing customer and partner business needs, collaborates with account and sales teams to ensure customer success, and serves as a trusted technical advisor. The role requires strong knowledge of Cisco’s portfolio, including specialized and architectural perspectives, and focuses on increasing penetration through cross/up-selling and displacing competition. The professional leads engagements with IT and decision-makers, translates business needs into technical requirements, and manages the technical sales process from opportunity to closure.

Meet the Team

The team includes account teams, connected sales teams, business executives (BEs), and sales specialists. Collaboration is key, with the technical sales professional working closely with these groups to develop customer plans, provide feedback on strategic customer needs, and leverage internal resources and tools to support deals. The role also involves managing a virtual support team of sales resources.

Your Impact

  • Increase revenue by converting closed opportunities into closed deals.
  • Displace competitors and increase Cisco’s market share.
  • Expand the customer base by increasing net new customers quarterly.
  • Influence customer strategic planning and provide active feedback on market opportunities and competitive tactics.
  • Drive customer success by delivering tailored technical solutions and presentations.
  • Support demand generation and enablement campaigns.
  • Contribute to educational materials and share best practices internally.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of related experience, or
  • Master’s degree plus 3 years of related experience, or
  • Demonstrated expertise in secure access, Duo multi-factor authentication, firewall management, networking, AI defense, and security technologies, with experience supporting and leading teams in a full remote environment, particularly within the segment in LATAM.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep expertise in Cisco’s portfolio and technologies.
  • Strong relationship management and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in technical sales with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to navigate complex customer environments and multi-architecture solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Cisco’s internal sales processes and tools.
