Job Description Summary

The Materials Manager - Materials Plan & execution will report to the Gas Power Global Inventory Leader and will lead, coordinate and expedite the flow of materials according to production schedules. This role impacts the team’s ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to Inventory operating policy objectives, and will demonstrate leadership, problem solving and rigor by owning the process of defining standard Raw / WIP / FG levels for end-to-end product family inventories. This leader will collaborate cross functionally with Supply Chain Finance, Materials, Sourcing, Controllership and Commercial teams, and report results to senior leadership within Gas Power.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive a culture of rigor around inventory control processes across business.

  • Establish a global process for target standard Raw / WIP / FG level definition, connecting responsible teams and organizations with the inventory goals to reduce inventory and increase turns.

  • Lead manufacturing, sourcing, finance, commercial teams in executing an inventory management strategy to meet customer requirements within a framework that meets the business inventory targets.

  • Develop and implement key production indicators (KPI) for Projected Inventory Funnels and communication rhythms to drive accountability at all levels of the organization.

  • Use experience and expertise to solve top inventory problems.

  • Work with materials Material Resource Planners (MRP) and Sourcing teams on leveraging ERP systems for best materials planning and scheduling to ensure on time delivery and optimized inventory balance following MRP exception messages and KPIs around this.

  • Establish material input controls and standard processes to mitigate stranded/slow moving inventory risk, drive down existing slow moving inventory/reserve levels through reapplication of excess or inactive materials, and enhance awareness of such opportunities.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

  • Strong experience in power generation industry on Supply chain, materials management, fulfillment is required.

  • Ability to pull, analyze and challenge data sets from multiple sources.

  • Strong analytical mindset with systems thinking.

  • Ability to lead, manage, and communicate with all levels of the business, Including reporting to Senior executives.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, act independently, and use sound judgment.

  • Aero business and/or Inventory management background is a plus.

  • Change agent with energy, passion, and enthusiasm.

  • Inclusive leadership style, proven ability to build a connection with the team through personal involvement and trust.

  • Ability to successfully motivate and maintain high integrity, employee involvement, safety, and teamwork.

If contracted in the US:

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $91,700 and $152,700. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.  

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus
