Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. As a pivotal member of the Commercial Contracting Solutions team, the BU Contract Management Specialist will support
End-to-end tender and commercial contract process, from contract initiation to contract maintenance.
Leads tactical processes such as contract price offerings, contract set up intake, price management and rebate calculations.
Leads execution of contract development, award redlining and maintaining response library and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Ensures compliance with commercial contract Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) while fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Work closely with Business Unit marketing, finance, sales, legal, Healthcare Compliance (HCC) and other teams to ensure contract compliance and alignment with business goals, prioritizing high-quality deliverables.
Major Duties & Responsibilities

Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities
Bid Search and Validation: Perform bid site searches for new tenders, review tender documents, and identify information to the commercial team.
Contract Lifecycle Management: Generate all types of contract maintenance changes (expiry, add-on, price change) received from internal partners. Recommend course of action based on investigation and analysis of current state.
System Contract Set Up: Implement complete contract price data management by ensuring new contracts set up meet established requirements, and all pertinent files associated with the contract are current and filed appropriately.
Documentation Compliance: Ensure timely submission and retention of final documentation, following compliance protocols set by the department. Maintain accurate records in alignment with SOX and HCC guidelines. Act as gatekeeper of contract set up activities.
Tender Process Leadership: Lead tender / Request for Proposal (RFP) process using project management techniques to ensure kick-off and status reviews with cross-functional teams, identifies clear deliverables, assigns roles and timelines.
Contract Development: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and compliance with legal requirements.
Award and Amendments: Review and flag non-standard T&C, lead negotiations with customer contract teams.
Rebates: Calculation, coordination payment, tracking of tech/product credits.
Customer Sales Reporting: Provide all sales reports to customers as per T&C within agreements.
Business Partner Support: Recommend and create new Contracts and Pricing reports to support commercial stakeholders. Provide business partners at hoc reporting.
Customer Communication: Address inquiries related to contracts from external customers, ensuring timely issue resolution and continuous engagement.
Pricing Disputes: Leads the investigation of Pricing Discrepancies until resolution while assessing priority in order to reduce revenue impacts and process inefficiencies.
Required Minimum Education:
University Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
Other: Bi-lingual (French) preferred/ Paralegal designation preferred
Required Years of Related Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in contract administration or related business experience within life sciences
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
(Include any required computer skills, certifications, licenses, languages, etc.)
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and problem- solving skills, outstanding customer service orientation.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proactive, self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and effectively manage priorities.

Ability to work and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent command of French and English languages is a must, in order to work with both French and English contracts, written and spoken
