Job Summary:

Geisinger invites applications for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Radiologist to join our established, supportive team in scenic northeast Pennsylvania. This is a full-time, hospital-employed role focused exclusively on Interventional Radiology, with no diagnostic responsibilities. Enjoy a predictable 7-on / 7-off schedule (7:30 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern) and the opportunity to contribute to a growing, systemwide IR program.

Job Duties:

Practice & Clinical Scope

  • 100% Interventional Radiology practice

  • Full spectrum IR procedures in a high-volume environment

  • Average volume of approximately 8 procedures per physician per day

  • Overall case mix is 60% outpatient / 30% inpatient / 10% emergent

  • Dedicated IR suites at Geisinger Community Medical Center (Scranton) and Geisinger Wyoming Valley (Wilkes-Barre) with fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, and cone beam imaging

  • Ongoing investment in IR infrastructure

  • Supported by on‑site APPs, experienced technologists, and dedicated nursing teams

Mentorship & Professional Development

  • Structured onboarding and mentorship within a large, experienced IR group

  • Opportunities for involvement with trainee rotations at Northeast Pennsylvania sites

  • Access to systemwide educational resources and professional development support

Ideal Candidate

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology

Position Details:

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary from $596,000, commensurate with experience

  • $140,000 starting bonus
