Summary:
The Senior Manager, Data and Operations within Compliance and Ethics at will play a crucial role in shaping the data strategy and operational excellence of our Enterprise Risk and Compliance & Ethics (C&E) functions. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of data infrastructure, tools, analytics, and reporting, ensuring that our C&E functions are supported by robust, dependable, and insightful data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Infrastructure and Tools Management:
Analyzing and assessing data collected related to C&E ROI as well as generate reports for identifying errors and inaccurate reporting.
Developing and implementation of data analytic solutions for internal stakeholders related to C&E functions.
Developing maintaining and providing reports to Business Stakeholders, Senior Leadership, and ROI Data & Operations Senior Director.
Drives innovation in business analytic capabilities by delivering actionable information from C&E related BMS data systems.
Conducts ongoing monitoring of data analytics and the development and execution of reports to address areas of risk; develops recommendations and communicates recommendations to stakeholders to mitigate such risks and communicates results.
Requirements Gathering:
Assesses needs with internal customers and users to determine, recommend and design appropriate reporting format, content, and delivery method.
Conduct detailed analysis to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather comprehensive requirements.
Works across matrix team with BMS IT, BIA and other functional departments on systems, projects and reports related to Veeva EM data.
Risk Analytics and Reporting Development:
Ability provide strong prioritization skills, excellent statistical and critical thinking skills; ability to create custom software to properly present data to the team, business and stakeholders and monitor activity timely to minimize business disruption
Create comprehensive risk analytics and reporting tools for the Corporate Executive Leadership Team (CELT) and Country Market leads.
Offer dedicated support to stakeholders for routine Board reporting.
Responsible for extraction, analysis and transformation of data that can be presented in a robust and innovative way to Business Stakeholders.
Execution Excellence:
Support all projects and deliver on required timelines.
Ensures compliant adherence to all BMS and industry-related Guiding Principles and Policies
Escalates compliance issues and concerns to Legal and Compliance.
Remains current with all North America laws and regulations related to transparency and disclosure, including Federal Physician Sunshine Payment Provisions, applicable U.S. state laws and be able to address questions related to Consultant Engagement data.
Ethically leverage AI technologies to improve reporting accuracy and optimize business processes.
Data Infrastructure Maintenance:
Manage the data lake and integrate relevant enterprise data.
Analytics and Solutions Roadmap Development:
Develop and manage the analytics and solutions roadmap for Enterprise Risk and C&E.
Identify and implement new tools and technologies, additional data requirements, and best practices in collaboration with other BMS functions.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required in Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, Information Technology or related discipline required.
2 – 5 years’ experience with a focus on focus on data management, reporting and analytics
SQL/Oracle database inquiry skills preferred.
Experience implementing Analytics solutions using Big Data and Cloud based solutions levering all phases of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and use of agile methodology.
SAS, Spitfire and good understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts and advanced understanding of data analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau).
Expert in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint and SAP is required.
Experience using and creating Dashboards in Tableau.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts and information with confidence including system, process, policy, and industry related requirements.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task, with precise attention to detail, accuracy, timeliness, and follow-through.
Keen ability to solve problems without supervision including root cause analysis, engaging the matrix team in solution options, and driving optimum problem resolution.
Demonstrated aptitude for understanding and translating system and process requirements to all stakeholders, compliance, legal and suppliers.
Excellent organization skills with ability to manage multiple activities, projects, and initiatives simultaneously.
