Position Summary...

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

About Team

The Associate Productivity & Collaboration Group is dedicated to providing Walmart associates with a seamless collaboration experience across six product groups, including Enterprise Productivity (O365 & Exchange), Digital Media Solutions (Digital Display Technology), Digital Connected Experience (Physical Meeting Space Design & Operations), Collaboration Product Experience (Virtual & Social), Walmart Create (Video Production & Platforms), and Enterprise Content & Relevancy (Enterprise Websites, Portals & Search).

To be a successful Product Owner for O365 and Exchange environments the following qualifications would be preferred:

  • Technical expertise: The product owner should have a deep understanding of the technical aspects of O365 and Exchange environments, including configuration, administration, and security.

  • Experience with enterprise-scale environments: The product owner should have experience working with large-scale enterprise environments, including experience managing the complexities of integrating O365 and Exchange environments with other enterprise systems.

  • Strong communication skills: The product owner should be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior executives, business leaders, and end-users.

  • Business acumen: The product owner should have a solid understanding of the business requirements and objectives of the organization and be able to align O365 and Exchange environments with those goals.

  • Project management skills: The product owner should have experience in project management, including planning, executing, and monitoring projects related to O365 and Exchange environments.

  • Analytical skills: The product owner should be able to analyze data and metrics related to O365 and Exchange environments to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks.

  • Ability to prioritize: The product owner should be able to prioritize tasks and projects based on business value and impact, balancing short-term and long-term goals.

  • Continuous learning mindset: The product owner should have a desire to continually learn and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in O365 and Exchange environments, as well as related technologies and industry trends.

  • Collaborative approach: The product owner should be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders, to ensure successful delivery of O365 and Exchange environments.

  • Experience with agile methodologies: The product owner should have experience working in an agile development environment and be familiar with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

The ideal candidate for the Product Owner position must be able to perform the following duties:

  • Serve as the primary advocate for customers and effectively communicate their needs and feedback to all stakeholders.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between business and development teams.

  • Manage the intake process for work requests, and prioritize initiatives for the Voice, Video, and Digital Signage team.

  • Continuously review and prioritize the product backlog.

  • Develop technology roadmaps that align with system platforms and customer needs.

  • Coordinate system changes with customers and other system areas.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and apply this knowledge to develop and execute action plans.

  • Ensure that customer service levels are met.

  • Lead team tasks and effectively manage team members.

  • Lead the development of high availability and scalable system solutions, following the Information Systems Development Life Cycle (ISDLC) guidelines.

  • Mentor and develop associates to build a high-performing team.

  • Uphold company policies, procedures, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions.

  • Identify new markets and customers to expand the business.
