Job Summary

Our Falmouth, Maine office is seeking a technician to provide technical expertise in the field of utility coordination. Experience in MaineDOT related utility coordination is a plus. He/she will also be involved in marketing and business development activities. The primary focus will be in the Transportation field.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the successful completion of utility coordination under his/her direction.

  • Represent TYLin at professional meetings, etc.

  • Work with the Project Manager and project team to establish contract budgets and scopes of work.

  • Assist in the development of utility coordination task work plans, schedules and budgets.

  • Forecast and monitor utility coordination budgets and schedules.

  • Accountable for updating (in coordination with other Project Managers) Project Work Plans, budget, schedules and preparing supplements as necessary during project execution to deliver high quality profitable projects.

  • Attend on-site meetings with public utilities, contractors, clients, and stakeholders, as required.

  • Provide design staff with expert technical guidance and assistance on projects.

  • Provide project specific construction specifications and special provisions.

  • Assists in the preparation of all related client deliverables.

  • Assist with the delivery of in-house utility relocation design projects.

  • Participate in business development and marketing activities efforts for highway design projects and attend interviews.

Qualifications

  • 4 or more years of experience.

  • Requires solid knowledge of MaineDOT right of way manual processes and standards.

  • The ability to use MicroStation is preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
