You are the brains behind our work …
At Citi, we do not just adapt to change – we drive it. Our Summer Technology Analyst Program is where forward thinking talents meet unparalleled opportunities. This is your chance to innovate, influence, and make an impact in the most global financial institution!
Citi Technology partners to ensure that Citi’s platforms can “Be the Best” for clients globally, with a diverse and ethical workforce that applies innovation and automation to deliver a world class client experience and strengthen our reputation. We have over 30,000 technologists globally who are dedicated to serving our clients’ needs across the firm. By utilizing a broad range of technologies, we are at the forefront of innovation. We seek to drive our systems and processes towards scalable, low-latency, high frequency enterprise systems to support Citi’s strategic priorities.
Advancing our technological capabilities day after day not only delivers seamless services to the bank but works towards building the flexible systems that will define the digital bank of tomorrow. Production Support plays an integral part in running and maintaining the production environment for both front and back-office applications so that Citi can confidently conduct business and service clients. Our production support analysts use their problem solving and technical skills to quickly resolve any issues, which can vary in severity and complexity and may impact Citi’s reputation or profits. Production support analysts are often ‘the bridge’ between developers and trading, so they quickly become equipped with extensive business knowledge, as well as technical skills.
We provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed…
We are committed to teaching you the ropes. The Summer Analyst Program starts in early May with an in-depth education on the Analyst role’s fundamentals and the nuances of Citi’s culture. The program also includes on-the-desk training, an informative speaker series, and networking opportunities. Summer Analysts often return to Citi after graduating from university to become Full-Time Analysts and continue their career in technology.
Your time here will look something like this...
As a Production Support Analyst, you will work in a dynamic environment that adapts to the needs and priorities of the Trading, Sales, and Middle Office. As you gain business knowledge combined with your technical skills, you will swiftly troubleshoot problems and provide solutions. This involves coordinating with other technology partners such as developers, business teams, etc. to monitor the end-to-end application environment in real-time. Projects that Summer Analysts have worked on in the past:
Improving Production Support Monitoring Techniques - Monitoring is vital to alert support to any issues within the production environment so they can quickly resolve them. Our analysts help to build upon and improve our current platform - using street-standard tools such as ITRS and ECS.
Design, development and implementation of tooling - Support analysts will have the opportunity to develop applications and scripts to aid themselves and their teams in their job. Our past analysts have implemented solutions that helped develop and hone their software development skills, ranging from excel macros, to python scripts, to C# and Java applications.
Organizational and operational efficiency improvements - Within various support teams there are still day to day activities that are being performed manually, so our analysts get involved in efficiency improvement projects to see where tasks can be automated or streamlined to free their time to get involved in strategic projects that can better serve the business.
As a member in our program, you can expect:
Global Exposure: Work in globally scoped projects with cross-functional teams and gain insights into how technology drives the financial sector worldwide.
Continuous Learning: Benefit from structured learning, networking, mentoring, and development programs that are designed to sharpen your technical prowess, enhance your business insight, and cultivate your leadership skills.
Real Impact: Contribute to real-world projects that shape the future of banking, from developing next-gen digital banking solutions to enhancing our cybersecurity defenses and driving data-powered innovations.
