What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

You will be Scout motors Inc. integrated in the team responsible for the Production Steering by achieving the following:

  • Collaborate with Logistics, Production, IT, Sales, Accessories, After Sales and other Scout and Group teams to define the process requirements, systems, interfaces, and reporting requirements.
  • Propose and agree with the related shareholder the system needs, introduction timing, interfaces, to support the roles of Production Steering, including production planning, scheduling, sequencing, pearl chain adherence and production reporting.
  • Define and prepare process flows and systems required to support the Production Steering activities.
  • Monitor and control the processes and systems to support the aspects of Production Steering.
  • Analyze potential deviations from the established Production Steering requirements and the required Actions to ensure the continuous elimination of such deviations.
  • Establish and maintain the factory production reporting system and online production monitoring.
  • Support all aspects of Production Steering team and Logistics department to secure and deliver the Scout product to market.
  • Support internal and external resources for planning, executing and optimizing of all logistics responsibilities concerning production planning, steering, sequencing and pearl chain.
  • Support own process control through planning and implementing KPIs with clear responsibility distribution, coordinate problem solving activity in case of deviance from the defined targets.
  • Support the department as needed through quality processes, audits, and participation in other functions.
  • Collaborate with Production Steering colleagues, Group and IT teams, Sales, Accessories, along with the Logistics team to optimize systems for efficiency, reliability, and quality. Identify opportunities for process improvements, equipment upgrades, and enhancements to streamline operations and reduce cycle times.

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events daily. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years of professional experience in logistics or production environment in the automotive industry,
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in industrial or mechanical, electrical engineering, or related fields
  • Strong understanding of Production planning, scheduling and production environment and affinity to work with complex IT-Systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, report writing and presentation skils
  • Detailed Knowledge and extensive Experience in Quality Management Systems (ISO, VDA, etc …) and related process requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage complexity
  • Collaborative team-player with strong interpersonal skills able to work at each hierarchical level of the company
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detailed knowledge of systems, including Microsoft office suite.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $90,000-$115,000

Internal leveling code: IC9
