Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a Field Service Rep for a long-term Defense assignment at Camp Humphries in South Korea with a U.S. home location of Huntington Beach, California. The position is a long-term international assignment and requires a wide variety of skills and experiences including software maintenance, Information Assurance, hardware maintenance, SATCOM, networking, component debugging and swap out, interfacing with customer COMSEC staff, operator training, logistics support, system deployment activities as needed by the customer, and on call according to mission needs.

This is a Long-Term Assignment to Camp Humphries in South Korea for two years, renewable.  Relocation benefits to the international location will be provided.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical field support of Tactical Systems products.
  • Perform all aspects of system monitoring, maintenance, repair, and system administration on tactical systems equipment.
  • Provide informal training to system operators on all aspects of system operations and capabilities.
  • Assist and advise users and other FSR’s in resolving technical issues.
  • Diagnose and repair complex hardware and software problems with little or no assistance from engineering.
  • Provide backup support, on-call support, and training support to Boeing Tactical Systems products deployed at various locations worldwide.

This position is contingent on (1) successfully obtaining clearances from International Health Services for yourself and all family members relocating with you, and (2) receipt of a visa or work permit for South Korea.

This position is contingent on clearance verification and customer concurrence.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position requires a successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years.
  • Current Security+ (Sec+) certification or other current DoD 8570/8140 Approved Baseline Certification OR willingness and ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ Pre-Start (i.e., successful completion of a DoD 8140 IAT Level II Certification).
  • Willingness and ability to relocate for a Long Term Field Service Assignment to a domestic or international location.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Field Service Representative supporting a Defense System.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with efficiency.

Typical Education & Experience:

Experienced (level 3):  Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Lead (level 4):  Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range:

Experienced (level 3):  86,700 – 117,300

Lead (level 4):  103,700 – 140,300
