The Role

As a Systems Analyst on the Fidelity Investments Life Insurance Technology Team, you will support multiple squad initiatives aimed at growing our core business and scaling our technology. In this role, you will focus on the platform health and modernization efforts of the applications and systems supporting the Fidelity Insurance Group (FIG). Specifically, you will drive initiatives supporting Fidelity annuity and term life insurance enhancements and with new product setup.

The Expertise You Have:

• 5+ years professional experience as a Systems Analyst for software solutions

• Proven experience researching, optimizing, developing and authoring solution requirements, user stories, and specifications for moderate to complex software systems

• Proven experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and programming in general

• Strong understanding and experience with complex relational database schemas and SQL management tools

• Proven experience working with REST, SOAP, JSON and APIs

• Proven experience with Agile development methodologies

• Deep knowledge of scrum tools – Jira experience desirable

• Excellent analytical skills

• Good knowledge of Behaviour Driven Development – Gherkin/Cucumber

• Release coordination

• Be able to articulate complex system interactions through diagrams and crisp documentation to a wide spectrum of audiences

• Ability to understand the technical aspects of the software, including understanding of code to be able to understand the business logic, understand technical architecture

• Produce artifacts – business flow diagrams

• Have good understanding of solution architecture and partner with Architects, Business Analysts and tech leads

• Have end to end knowledge of system interactions and be able to articulate well to different audiences both technical and non-technical

• Prod incidents analysis – Splunk queries, build dashboards/alerts

• Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science or related technology discipline.

The Team

You will be a member of the FILI Technology Team. Your primary focus will be supporting the platform health, growth, scale and modernization efforts of the platform, application and systems supporting the Fidelity Insurance Group (FIG). In this role you will partner with a variety of key stakeholders including other squads withing the Platform Area, Wealth Digital Experience, FIA, and Brokerage partners.

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
