Job Description

Role Purpose

Lead Brazil People Operations as the local Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Employee Journeys, embedding Brazil‑specific requirements into global standards and ensuring high‑quality, timely, and compliant HR services.
Drive optimization of key people processes and knowledge governance through process‑driven methodologies, AI‑enabled solutions, and data analytics to standardize and streamline workflows.

What you will do (Responsibilities)

  • Act as the local SME for Employee Journeys, ensuring Brazil‑specific legal and operational requirements are embedded into global standards. Maintain an accurate knowledge base and a robust Knowledge Governance Model.

  • Map, analyze, and optimize key employee journeys, including onboarding, offboarding, leaves and life events, immigration, and other local processes, applying process‑driven application methodologies to improve efficiency and consistency.

  • Lead and manage projects end‑to‑end, from conceptualization and planning through execution and post‑implementation review, ensuring alignment with local requirements and business objectives.

  • Enable AI‑driven service delivery by supporting the implementation and adoption of advanced technology solutions.

  • Develop, analyze, and present insights and reports using data analytics, demonstrating commercial acumen by linking HR metrics to business outcomes.

  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective People Operations solutions.

  • Lead and develop the Brazil People Operations team in São Caetano do Sul, managing workload, priorities, performance, and capability development.

  • Ensure delivery of high‑quality, timely, and consistent HR services in compliance with local labor regulations and aligned with global standards.

  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with HRBPs, COEs, Plant Leadership, Legal, IT, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of changes and initiatives.

  • Work Model: Hybrid – on‑site presence required 3 days per week

Your skills and abilities (Required qualifications)

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or Process Optimization (HR or non‑HR environments).

    • Proven experience in:

      • End‑to‑end process management

      • Digital tools and data analytics

      • Process improvement, standardization, or automation initiatives

      • Project management (planning, execution, monitoring, and closure)

  • Languages:

    • Portuguese: Native

    • English: Advanced (global interaction and documentation)

  • Core Competencies:

    • Process and systems thinking with a data‑driven decision‑making approach

    • Strong employee‑centric mindset with focus on end‑to‑end journeys

    • Results‑oriented mindset with emphasis on simplification and continuous improvement

    • People leadership and team development capabilities

    • Strong stakeholder management skills in matrixed, multicultural environments

What can give you a competitive edge (Preferred qualifications)

  • Spanish proficiency for interaction with Mexico, GMSA, and international teams.

  • Experience supporting or implementing AI‑enabled HR service delivery models.

  • Background in knowledge governance models and HR service transformation initiatives.

  • Experience working in regional or global HR operating models.
