Agropur is looking for an Inventory Control Supervisor to join its Bedford team for a 15-months temporary contract.

The goal of the Inventory Control Supervisor in partnership with the Cooler Supervisor in charge, manage the transactions and accuracy of the Agropur Bedford inventory, direct Supervisor for Security and Distribution Clerk teams.   Included is cooler/warehouse supervisory responsibilities of 25 unionized employees to maintain business continuity for shipping, and security.

• Salary range  004: 67 700$ to 84 600$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)

What this role is all about:

More specifically, the role of the Inventory control Supervisor is to manage the finished goods cycle count program and implement processes to improve the accuracy of the finished goods cooler inventory, billing and returns.

• Participate and conduct physical re-counts and audits as needed and lead the investigation process for any cycle count variances

• Provide support to coordinate incoming inventory, outgoing customer orders/shipments and handling documentation of products returned to the warehouse for disposal or return to inventory

• Execute JDEdward/Oracle, SAP system actions and transactions

• Master the warehouse’s various processes and systems and how they are executed.

• Providing direction and support to warehouse staff with transactions affecting the cooler inventory

• Shift is typically Monday to Friday, but will require some evening and weekends as needed to maintain business continuity

• Supporting the team coordinating the picking of customer orders to meet to meet customer demand and distribution schedules

• Arranging overtime and staffing per the collective agreement

• Resolve daily challenges that impact safety, quality, on time delivery and cost in the Cooler

• Enforcement of Agropur policies and safety regulations

• Supervising the Security Team and Shipping Clerks

• Providing training and communication to team on Agropur initiatives and procedures as it relates to shipping clerk and inventory accuracy support.

• Providing Cooler Supervisor coverage for Bedford Cooler during any vacancy

What you need to join our team:

• 1-3 years experience in logistics/warehousing with inventory management.

• Leadership training/experience.

• Experience with Microsoft Office software. SAP or JDEdwards or Oracle experience.

• 1-2 years post-secondary education.

• Purchasing Experience considered (an asset).
