About the Role:

CrowdStrike’s product engineering department is expanding its focus on Data Science driven solutions. We are looking for a Data Science manager to lead our efforts around Data Protection, Cloud Security and Identity Protection, and create a center of excellence focused on supporting each of those product lines. In this role, you will lead deep tech initiatives, focusing on AI/ML applications in security technologies. The ideal candidate will leverage extensive industry experience and technical expertise to lead our data science strategy, manage its complex roadmap, and collaborate with research and PM functions in the wider organization. This role requires an experienced leader who brings hands-on experience with the specific fields, while also demonstrating the flexibility of delivering AI/ML products successfully in a variety of professional domains. This person will serve as the focal point for Data Science delivery in these product lines and report to the Sr. Manager of the Data Science Studio Department. 

What You'll Do:

  • Recruit, lead and mentor a team of top-tier data scientists engaged in diverse professional fields, including ML, LLM, and various other products based on logical functionalities.

  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to enhance our portfolio of cybersecurity solutions.

  • Establish processes and procedures that would streamline research, development and production ownership, both internally and externally.

  • Collaborate with various functions across Research, Engineering, and Product, to identify and prioritize data science projects and build strategy and roadmap.

  • Oversee the development and deployment of multiple production-ready ML models for threat detection and prevention.

  • Direct efforts to develop ML models that continuously win at third-party industry evaluations.

  • Stay current with emerging trends in data science and cybersecurity.

What You'll Need:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, AI/ML, or related fields.

  • Proven track record of leading R&D teams to repeatedly deliver innovative AI/ML solutions.

  • Deep technical expertise in areas including, but not limited to, Generative AI (LLM), Machine Learning (ML), Neural Networks, classification systems, and risk analysis.

  • Experience in driving innovation from concept to production, preferably in cybersecurity contexts.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, capable of motivating teams and interfacing effectively with cross-functional units and senior management.
