Transportation Manager

Shift: Day Shift, weekends and evenings as needed during peak season.

Hiring Range: $79,200 to $118,800, depending on experience.

We are looking for a Transportation Manager, to manage and coordinate all transportation activities within the Story City, IA location.  You will be a valued team member responsible for all transportation activities at the site, which includes internal fleet, dedicated carriers, LTL and contract carriers.  Key responsibilities include transportation management (50% of the job), management of personnel (25%), and DOT compliance and safety (25%), and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED Required.
  • Supervisory Experience: 3+ years of experience managing people; Candidates in the rotational Land O’Lakes programs (TAP/MMT/DMT) will be considered.
  • Leadership: 3+ years of experience with DOT operations and compliance.  Ability to demonstrate successful past leadership in operations, warehouse management, and/or managing personnel
  • Technology: proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, smartphones, and other hardware/software
  • Certifications: Current driver’s license.

Preferred:

  • Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering Sciences, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Supervisory Experience: 5+ years or more experience managing people
  • Regulations/Compliance: 5+ years experience working with DOT regulations, EH&S programs, and other compliance/safety procedures.
  • Certifications:  CDL-Class A License
