The Head of Agency will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance the sales of unit trust products through our agency network. This role requires a seasoned leader with deep expertise in financial products and a proven track record in driving sales performance and agency development.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive the growth of unit trust product sales through the agency channel, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.

  • Agency Development: Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of a high-performing agency network. Implement programs to enhance the skills and productivity of agency members.

  • Sales Management: Set and monitor sales targets, ensuring that the agency network meets or exceeds them. Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with agency leaders and top-performing agents to ensure alignment and engagement. Act as a liaison between the agency network and the company's management.

  • Product Knowledge: Ensure that the agency network is well-informed about unit trust products, market trends, and regulatory requirements. Provide ongoing training and resources to enhance product knowledge.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion. Stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape.

  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all sales activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies. Implement measures to mitigate risks associated with sales operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • ·Extensive experience in a senior sales or agency leadership role within the financial services industry, with a focus on unit trust or investment products.

  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and developing successful agency networks.

  • Sound knowledge in equities, fixed income, multi-asset and solution products, with an understanding of mutual fund market trends and movements, as well as ideally a proven ability to identify product trends and to advise in the design of products to meet investor needs.

  • Deep knowledge and experience with strong relationships with agents, regulators and other stakeholders.

  • Understanding of strategy and business development processes, practices and applications, together with sound knowledge of the operational and regulatory frameworks for intermediary investment markets.

  • Strategic sales skills and ability to take an entrepreneurially strategic approach to growing Manulife’s market share amongst intermediaries, demonstrated creativity in their approach, execution focus and a proven passion for developing business.
