Role: Mainframe Network Admin Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve working with IBM Z/OS Operating Systems and Mainframe DevOps to provide a dynamic service and ensure smooth functioning of the systems. Roles & Responsibilities: • Administer IMS DC, CICS, MQ and Network products. • Maintain IMS/DC or TM environment and components- Extended Terminal Option (ETO), Fast Path, MFS, ISC, APPC • Manage WebSphere MQ & CICS connection. • Maintain other network-based software like Netmaster, TCP/IP, VTAM, FTP, EE Capacity Planning. • Troubleshoot issues. Incident/Problem management • Manage Mainframe networks and connectivity. • Manage printers/related tools. Professional & Technical Skills: • Must Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM Z/OS Operating Systems. • Good To Have Skills: Experience in Mainframe DevOps. • Educational Qualification: University degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent • Thorough knowledge of Mainframe middleware, communication & network tools and technologies • Knowledge of z/OS functions, high level knowledge of architecture and hardware • Thorough knowledge of using JCL, IBM & ISV Utilities used. • Overall knowledge of other support areas like z/OS, Storage and Database • Troubleshooting skills to quickly resolve the critical issues. • Experience to setup/administer CICSplex. • Good communication skills. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 7.5 years of experience in IBM Z/OS Operating Systems. - The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
