To ensure sustainable growth and profitability in digital and green through the Social Innovation Business, Hitachi is undergoing a major transformation to establish a customer centric business model (incl. alignment of global processes and common digital tools).

What you’ll be doing

Concretely the Group Account Manager defines and ensures sales targets for the account and will support the Head of Account Management in implementation of the necessary processes and frameworks (e.g., account plan development, share of wallet & customer satisfaction increase, capture team selling etc) for a defined target group. The Group Account Manager collaborates closely with Hitachi’s Industry Segment organization as well as businesses and regions to ensure customer needs can be translated into competitive value propositions that deliver profitable orders.

  • Developing medium to long-term account and sales plans, preparing strategies to protect, grow, and diversify relationships with a defined group of customers, and ensuring profitable order and sales pipeline responsibility for the account.

  • Setting up and driving a solution selling approach, identifying and developing solution-, cross/up, and repeat sales opportunities to maximize share of wallet growth.

  • Coordinating sales activities and monitoring current projects, while managing the resolution of specific customer problems to ensure they receive high-quality customer service.

  • Understanding key business drivers and the business environment, interpreting the impact and opportunities for Hitachi, and creating value for both the customer and Hitachi by ensuring a coordinated sales approach.

  • Developing client retention and profitable growth plans and strategies, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.

  • Reviewing and reporting on customer retention, business opportunities, and market trends, summarizing feedback on market developments, including customer and competitor insights.

  • Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business

What you bring to the team

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and background:

  • More than 10 years of successful Account Management and marketing & sales related working experiences in one or more of Hitachi’s market segments

  • preferably a degree in Engineering or IT. MBA in Sales & Marketing will be an added advantage.

  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams to develop customized solutions for strategic accounts

  • Mastery of Hitachi's solution ecosystems and their alignment with customer needs.

  • Broad knowledge of the main customers’ long term strategies and future trends to align new business opportunities that add value for the customer and Hitachi

  • Feel comfortable in solution selling and bringing IT/Products and Solutions together in front of our targeted customers

  • Own a communication style that gains support and commitment within and outside Hitachi, while holding yourself and others accountable

  • Seeing ahead to future possibilities and translating them into breakthrough strategies

  • Work intensely to achieve to exceed difficult standards

  • Feel motivated by achievement through tough obstacles and by pursuing shared goals
