Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT & CONTROL FUNCTIONAL DESIGN ENGINEER who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Turin (Italy)

Mission: Deliver the HW and Firmware configuration of COTS needed for Automation project in accordance with industry and company standards

Accountabilities

WITH REFERENCE TO THE ASSIGNED PART OF HW PLATFORM ENGINEER

·   Design the technical solution for the automation platform

·   Configure different types of device server, storage, network and client

·   RDBMS installation and management

·   Production of technical documentation

·   On site installation

·   Problem solving capabilities

Required Skills/ Knowledge

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent technical background

• knowledge in design and implementation of virtualized architectures (HW, Hypervisor and SW architecture)

• knowledge of Operating Systems Linux based

• knowledge of networking TCP/IP stack, routing, VLANs

• knowledge of principal RDBMS (e.g. Oracle)

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and User Graphic tools

• Knowledge and/or experience with Railways and Metro Automation

• Knowledge shell scripting

• Knowledge docker platform

   

Languages

Good English proficiency
