Role and Responsibility:

  • Provide technical in all aspects of manufacturing engineering, such as Process, Equipment Maintenance and Product Performance with focus on optimizing line efficiency through improved yield, cycle times, process stability and line control.
  • Interface effectively with customers and other functional teams within Lumentum such as R&D, Product Engineering and Product Line Management to validate requirements and ensure process or technology milestones are clearly defined and achieved.
  • Set up and qualify assembly and inspection processes such as die bonding, wire bonding, optical alignment.
  • Issue documents such as process flow, work instruction, control plan, visual aids and SPC
  • Develop preventive maintenance program for responsible machines.
  • Lead team of engineers or technicians to solve instant manufacturing problems to achieve desired test results within limited time frame.
  • Provide training to technician and operators.
  • Supervise technicians to perform daily technical support and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance to quality assurance processes and industry best practice.
  • Plan and execute on schemes to improve product yield and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with manual and automated component attach methods, visual inspection.
  • Experience in set up and qualify assembly and inspection processes.
  • Experience in advanced manufacturing environment. Able to optimize process parameter aiming for better product performance and manufacturing productivity.
  • Knowledge on manufacturing control techniques (SPC, Cpk, QCFC, FMEA). 
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in material sciences, mechanics, electronics, physic or related field of study
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in product or process engineer in electronics or optical products.
  • Good command in English communication reading, writing and speaking.
