Actively manages purchasing affairs in the company's production Site – KION Stříbro, Český Krumlov
Responsible for cost, quality, timeliness and completeness of external deliveries, which must be carried out in accordance with required standards and regulations, and commodity strategies
Conducts tenders at the local level and, in cooperation with the commodity manager, actively participates in the provision of resources at the global and regional level
Contractually ensures the agreed conditions and supervises their proper fulfillment, is responsible for timely and complete updating of contracts
Responsible for purchasing agenda of engineering changes, systemic data management and communication with supplier and with other participating departments (LOG, IE, Production, R&D etc.)
Establishes, manages and timely updates purchasing master data of materials, resolves the issue of price differences and approval of related invoices
Participates in achieving goals in the area of reducing total costs, monitors and analyzes market development, reports on spending of funds and main factors affecting costs
Supports the continuous development of the supply chain and actively influences the overall performance of suppliers, participates in the identification, selection and qualification of new suppliers
In cooperation with Advanced Sourcing, ensures the start of new projects in the required time and costs
Supports production in managing supply failures, in cooperation with the supplier, commodity manager and related functions of the organization, creates solutions that prevent production stoppages
Tasks and Qualifications:
Bachelor's education in economic or technical direction / high school with extensive experience
Experience in purchasing min. 5 years in the field of handling technology, construction, agricultural industry, Tier I automotive industry, or similar demanding environment
Ability to apply strategic thinking in decision-making in everyday practice
Deep knowledge of the market, the influence of the main cost factors and their effect on the price of products, materials used, production processes and industrial quality standards
Ability to anticipate and assess changes in market conditions and subsequently identify threats and opportunities through clear analysis of current and future trends
Experience in negotiating supplier contracts, knowledge of related legal issues.
Orientation to results, decisiveness and the ability to solve problems in a timely and adequate manner to ensure the successful progress and completion of projects
Orientation in technical documentation is essential
Expert knowledge and use of Microsoft Office tools, advanced user of SAR/R3 ERP
Team player, excellent in problem solving, excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams, at local and regional level -
Excellent English (verbal and written on a daily basis), knowledge of a second language (German, French, Italian, possibly Eastern European languages) is an advantage
Willingness to travel (Europe region, including ad hoc requirements), necessary - travel up to 30% maximum
