JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Director of Compliance Risk Management & Strategic Initiatives. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and managing centralized compliance and risk management activities, ensuring smooth operations and achievement of strategic priorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads a small compliance risk management and operations team, consisting of compliance professionals who support operation activities for our ethics and compliance programs.; providing leadership and support to ensure the team’s efficient and effective functioning
Provide end-to-end oversight of the centralized risk assessment process (designing and implementing the process, overseeing outside counsel, coordinating and executing assessment activities, integrating assessment outcomes, and effectively communicating results), ensuring its effectiveness and adherence to best practices
Develop and implement centralized portions of our compliance risk management framework and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance across the organization.
Design and lead the delivery of various cross-compliance strategic initiatives and ensure the ethics and compliance function achieves its strategic priorities by setting clear objectives, monitoring progress and taking corrective action as necessary
Prepare insightful reports tailored for senior leadership and board of director audiences, highlighting achievements and areas of focus
Craft insightful and comprehensive reports specifically tailored for the board and senior leadership, offering clear insights into compliance risk management strategies, progress, and outcomes.
Designing and implement behavior management activities to help foster a culture of ethical conduct, compliance, and accountability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance considerations into strategic initiatives ensuring that compliance risks are identified, assessed and addressed from the planning stage.
Drive standardization of delivery and activities to provide efficient service as well as knowledge sharing and supporting related teams/projects
Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in compliance risk management and leverage this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and innovation
RELATIONSHIPS:
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: University degree (Business Administration, Law, Management, Compliance or a related field); Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or similar certification preferred
Work experience: Seven to ten years of work experience in compliance risk management with a proven track record of success in developing, implementing or operating compliance programs
