Job Description:

About the Role

OneTAX is a global tax operating model, designed to create enterprise value through more collaborative, consistent and efficient tax management across the Group. It brings together tax resources across Business Units and regions into a unified, functionally aligned structure, supported by Centers of Excellence (CoE), Global Process Owners, Functional Owners, Tax Business Partners and specialist tax teams.

The Indirect Tax Manager, Americas is a critical leadership role within OneTAX. Reporting directly to the Global Process Owner (GPO) for Indirect Tax, this role sits at the center of regional delivery, acting as a primary catalyst for moving the function away from siloed Business Unit (BU) practices toward a global standard of excellence.

As a leader within the Americas CoE, you will oversee daily functional workflows and strategic priorities for a diverse regional portfolio, including the United States, Canada, and key LATAM markets such as Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia. This role will drive the evolution of our regional operations into a single, standardized framework. You will manage the end-to-end execution of U.S. Sales & Use, Canada GST/HST, and LATAM indirect tax through co-sourced vendors, while driving a digital-first culture through data automation to improve reporting efficiency and transparency. This role will sit in our Princeton, NJ location.

You Will:

  • Directly manage and oversee the Americas Indirect Tax CoE team.
  • Establish and manage daily functional priorities in collaboration with the GPO and Tax Business Partners.
  • Oversight: Manage the end-to-end execution of indirect tax workflows across the Americas, encompassing U.S. Sales & Use Tax, Canada GST/HST, and local indirect tax requirements within LATAM.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the co-sourced compliance vendor, ensuring seamless onboarding and ongoing delivery of tax services.
  • Perform technical reviews of all tax outputs to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to global standards.
  • Identify and assess tax risks, escalating complex issues to the GPO, Tax Business Partners, and Head of Tax as appropriate.
  • Support the GPO in standardizing end-to-end tax workflows across the Americas to eliminate disparate practices.
  • Oversee "Data Production"—the gathering and cleansing of standardized data sets for consumption by the service provider and automated reporting tools.
  • Foster a digital-first mindset within the team, leveraging technology and analytics to achieve greater automation.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce reporting cycle times.
  • Provide formal people management, including performance reviews, compensation input, and professional development coaching for the CoE team.
  • Work closely with Tax Business Partners to understand business strategies and provide proactive commercial advice.
  • Collaborate across different workflows and regional hubs to build enterprise-wide tax capabilities.

You Have:

  • The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to process improvement and cross-functional collaboration
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in indirect tax, including management roles
  • Knowledge of U.S. real estate and personal property tax concepts
  • Experience with indirect tax engines (e.g., Vertex and Avalara)
  • Experience with automated compliance requirements and a desire to work with advanced tax technology and AI-driven tools.
  • Proven ability to manage complex workflows and lead teams through organizational change.
  • Excellent computer and communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex concepts to management and non-tax practitioners
  • VAT experience is a strong plus.
