Job Description

Job Summary

The Graduate Assistant for People & Culture supports talent acquisition, onboarding, and HRIS-related functions while gaining practical experience in higher education human resources. This role partners with hiring managers and the People & Culture team to ensure recruitment and onboarding processes are completed accurately and efficiently. The position also serves as a front-line resource for employees, applicants, and visitors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support onboarding efforts by preparing materials, monitoring completion of required documentation, and assisting new hires through onboarding steps.

  • Monitor recruitment and onboarding workflows to identify missing items and follow up appropriately.

  • Provide basic HRIS support to hiring managers and new employees; escalate technical issues as needed.

  • Help prepare new hire communications, orientation resources, and welcome materials.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential recruitment and onboarding records; assist with periodic audits for data accuracy and compliance.

  • Serve as a professional and welcoming first point of contact for walk-in visitors and general People & Culture inquiries.

  • Provide administrative and project support to the People & Culture team as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a Campbellsville University graduate program.

  • Interest in human resources, talent acquisition, higher education administration, or organizational development.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a professional environment.
