The opportunity: 

AIA currently has opportunities available for experienced People Partners to join our team. Within these roles you will act as the first point of contact within People and Culture for your dedicated business unit on all operational people related matters. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Employee Relations and People Partnering and working collaboratively with the broader People and Culture team you will co-create and implement a range of contemporary HR and organisation development initiatives.

You will facilitate and execute key cyclical events such as talent reviews, performance and remuneration reviews in addition to culture and engagement activities. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who has a customer first approach and actively embraces customer centricity to ensure the support they provide to the broader organisation is second to none.

To do this successfully you will: 

  • Partner with your dedicated client group/s all people related matters across  each stage of the Employee lifecycle, ensuring collaboration and alignment
  • Facilitate and execute HR cyclical programs ensuring that all activities are integrated into the business and HR strategy
  • Develop a business unit specific annual people plan that identifies improvement opportunities, diagnoses problems and develops solutions
  • Work collaboratively with P&C Centre’s of Excellence (COE’s) to effectively
    implement people initiatives across business units and develop and deliver
    solutions
  • Prepare and provide reports on key people metrics and make key recommendations based on this data
  • Collaborate with the Talent team to support senior leaders on performance, talent, succession and leadership
  • Curate and facilitate organisational and team change and capability interventions for client groups
  • Drive the full adoption of the P&C service model across both the team and wider enterprise
  • Co design and facilitate training workshops for People Leaders as required
  • Work collaboratively to execute organisational changes using a consistent approach across the organisation
  • Conduct job gradings and working with the Reward team to manage remuneration reviews and TCR process
  • Act as a custodian of AIA’s culture and our operating philosophy of ‘Doing the Right Thing, in the Right Way, with the Right People’.

Successful applications will demonstrate: 

  • Experience working in a generalist business partnering or people advisory role
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or similar
  • A proven ability to partner with key stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
  • Strong understanding of contemporary HR and “Best Practice” and current employment legislation
  • Experience partnering with business leaders on organisational design, restructuring and change management
  • Significant team orientation and the ability to engage with relevant stakeholders and colleagues collaboratively to achieve successful outcomes
  • The ability to navigate effectively within a dynamic high change environment
  • A customer first mindset
