Overview:

The SAFFIRE program is advancing next-generation cloud-native enterprise solutions for critical U.S. Government missions. As a SAFFIRE Software Engineer, you’ll use your problem-solving skills and passion for continuous learning to make a real impact, leveraging the latest technologies in Cloud Computing, AI/ML, and DevSecOps.

The Opportunity:

As a Python Software Engineer, you’ll join a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team working on integrating and developing capabilities across several applications. You will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and integration of various components within a microservices architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and integrate software components within a microservices environment.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of enterprise-level systems and the development of new functionality.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to solve complex mission-related problems.
  • Implement scalable and innovative solutions using rapid prototyping and Agile methodologies.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to production.

Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance with polygraph preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development (including analysis, design, testing, and deployment).
  • Expertise in Python and Python-based technologies for enterprise systems.
  • Proven experience integrating multiple applications and developing scalable solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and rapid prototyping.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of developing innovative solutions.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts.
  • Experience in microservice-based architectures and cloud computing environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Kafka, SciPy, NumPy, and Pandas.
  • AWS API experience and AWS certifications (Developer, DevOps, Architect).
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Understanding of web application development.
  • Knowledge of Linux administration and DevOps tools like GIT, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Experience with NiFi automation and PCAP data.
  • Security+ Certification.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,100 - 172,400 USD
