At JLG, we are excited to offer you the opportunity to gain real-world experience in Purchasing Data Analytics within our Global Supply Chain Management team based in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands.

HOW WILL YOUR WEEK LOOK LIKE?

As a Purchasing Data Analytics Intern, you will support our Strategic Purchasing and Global Sourcing teams with data-driven insights that help improve supplier performance, cost efficiency, and strategic decision-making.

Your weekly tasks may include:

• Assisting in the collection, cleaning, and analysis of purchasing data from internal systems (such as MAPICS or global Warehouse DATABRICKS)
• Building and maintaining dashboards and reports to support sourcing strategies and supplier evaluations
• Supporting data classification of commodities, suppliers, and spending categories
• Collaborating with Buyers and Purchasing Agents to track and monitor cost-saving opportunities
• Contributing to ongoing process improvement initiatives using Excel, Power BI, and VBA/macros, DAX and POWERQUERY (will be a plus)

YOUR BACKGROUND

We are looking for students who bring curiosity, structure, and analytical thinking to the table:

• Bachelor’s or master’s student in Business, Data Analytics, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related
• Strong skills in Excel, and understanding of Data ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) process
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus
• Detail-oriented, structured, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Able to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken); other European languages are a plus
• Strong sense of initiative, ownership, and collaboration
