Job Description​

Saint Luke's Hospital Women's Heart Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Heart Wellness Coordinator position.

Saint Luke’s Muriel I. Kauffman Women’s Heart Center is the first of its kind in the United States to take a proactive role in addressing the unique characteristics of women’s cardiovascular health – celebrating 30 years of advocating for the hearts of women.

In this role you will serve primarily as a community advocate, client/patient advocate, educator, motivator, and most importantly, a knowledgeable expert and point of contact for women related to cardiovascular issues throughout their lifespan.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct one-on-one consultations for community clients at our four Saint Luke's campuses in an effort to educate them about their heart health
  • Support or facilitate risk factor modification resources and create a collaborative heart health goal.
  • Provide outreach education for community groups to promote awareness about women's heart health upon request and in collaboration with other internal and external partners.
  • Support the aligned sub-specialty programs including the Athletic Heart Clinic, Adult Congenital Heart Disease, Pathway to Purpose Program, and Saint Luke's Million Hearts Program.

This position requires a MO and KS RN license and experience in cardiac nursing. Effective patient education skills and experience in working with wellness programs preferred. Ability to prepare and give presentations to community groups required. Ability to work some weekend days required.
