Apollo Sports Capital (ASC) is a recently launched permanent capital vehicle focused on providing a range of financing solutions to the global sports and live-events ecosystem. ASC pursues a debt and structured credit-oriented strategy designed to generate attractive yield from durable sports assets with upside potential via equity linked exposure. The platform invests across a wide range of asset types globally.

ASC is closely integrated with Apollo and collaborates regularly with Apollo credit, equity, and capital markets teams, while operating as a dedicated origination platform.

Primary Responsibilities:

Apollo Sports Capital is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented associate who is knowledgeable about the sports industry to support various aspects of the ASC team. The associate will work closely with the ASC COO to operationalize and elevate the business.

  • Build and maintain simple financial models to support fund level cash management, portfolio monitoring, and scenario analysis

  • Design, implement, and maintain internal templates, trackers, and operating processes that reduce friction, improve transparency, and streamline communication across the team

  • Conduct structured, ongoing research on sports leagues, teams, venues, and adjacent assets to ensure the team maintains a current, informed view of the industry

  • Support event strategy and execution, including coordination, preparation of materials, and tracking measurable KPIs from ASC events

  • Develop marketing playbooks and origination materials that clearly articulate ASC’s value proposition and are tailored for different counterparties

  • Build scalable templates for future board and senior stakeholder reporting, including performance summaries, key risks, and strategic updates

  • Identify and implement practical AI enabled workflows across origination, operations, and reporting that reduce manual effort and improve decision quality

Qualifications & Experience

  • Pursuing an MBA or JD/MBA (Class of 2026) with an excellent academic record and a demonstrated interest in finance through previous internships, jobs, and coursework

  • At least two years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or relevant buy-side experience

  • Practical interest in applying AI and automation tools to improve workflows, decision making, and productivity

  • A critical thinker with strong quantitative and analytical skills who expresses their thoughts and ideas clearly both in oral and written communications

  • Ability to distill financial analysis into clear, actionable insights for non technical audiences

  • A collaborative thinker who can also work independently, multitask, and prioritize competing demands to

  • Understanding and excitement of the global sports industry

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required

  • Thrives in a team-oriented environment with a desire to leverage creative ideas and substantive plans to help grow the group

  • Positive attitude with an engaging and professional demeanor to be an exceptional representative for both Apollo clients and internal counterparts

  • Nimble and flexible with the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously

Pay Range

160,000-175,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
